We offer a wide variety of extracurricular opportunities for all grade levels to extend their day At NDA. There is a participation fee that we intentionally set at an affordable rate to allow for maximum participation.
Please make note of the following:
- Fee includes a snack.
- ExtendNDA does not meet on school holidays.
- ExtendNDA starts at dismissal and ends at 3:30pm (unless noted otherwise).
- Parents must arrange for a pick-up or designate the student to remain in AfterCare promptly at the time the enrichment program ends.
Continuation of Guitar (Grades 1-2)

Mr. Tormey returns to continue his work with NDA musicians! This class will introduce students to beginner level guitar technique. We are very excited to note that the guitars are provided thanks to a generous gift. Our students can begin learning guitar techniques without the investment of buying the instrument themselves. This class is limited and offered on a first-come first-served basis.
Cardboard Sculpting with Donna Napoli-Steele (Grades 4-8)

We are thrilled to welcome Mrs. Donna Napoli-Steele, one of the very talented HS art teachers. Learn to sculpt fantastic creatures using cardboard and your imagination. This 6-week course will cover the basics of cardboard sculpting techniques while creating unique pieces of artwork.
The following items can be sent in with your child on the first session:
- Clean cardboard egg cartons
- Paper towel tubes
- Cardboard Amazon boxes
Percussion Playing and Rhythms (PK3 - Kindergarten)
Tuesdays from 2:15pm - 2:45pm
Dates: 4/30, 5/7, 5/14, 5/21, 5/28, 6/4
Course Fee: $140 for 6 classes ($125 registration fee, plus $15 equipment fee)
Percussion is a 30 minute class from 2:15 to 2:45 that is limited and offered on a first-come first-served basis.
Join us for six weeks of An Introduction to Percussion Playing and Rhythms! This class features a hands-on introduction to percussion playing and how it can function in music. The students will learn how to play simple rhythms on a bucket along with each other and the instructor. The goal is for everyone to contribute their own playing to become a unified band.

In this class, students will learn the basics of Bocce in a non-competitive atmosphere on the beautiful grounds of Casa Belvedere. The girls will be taught the rules of the game and will get to socialize with other grade levels.

We are thrilled to welcome back Mrs. Anne McKee. She led our first Knitting Club at NDA. Anne is a very experienced knitting instructor and former parent of NDA alumnae. Knitting is a craft where a thread of yarn is woven into a series of loops to create a fabric. This is a very hands-on program, and students will create their very own handmade masterpiece.
